Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

VapeShift is a quit-vaping mobile application developed and maintained as an independent project. References to "we", "us", or "our" in this policy refer to the VapeShift development team.

2. Data We Collect

We collect no personal data.

All information you enter into VapeShift — including your quit date, craving logs, relapse records, spending figures, and profile details — is stored exclusively on your device using local storage. This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party.

3. Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, process, or store any of the following:

• Name, email address, or any contact information
• Location data or GPS coordinates
• Health or medical information
• Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or fingerprints
• Usage analytics or behavioural tracking data
• Crash reports or diagnostic logs sent to remote servers
• Payment or financial information
• Photos, camera, or microphone access

4. Local Storage

VapeShift uses on-device storage (MMKV) to save your progress, craving history, profile settings, and Shift Fund entries. This data remains on your device at all times.

On Android, this data may be included in Google's standard Android Backup service if you have backup enabled in your device settings. This backup is managed entirely by Google under Google's Privacy Policy and is not accessible to us.

You can delete all VapeShift data at any time by using the "Reset all progress" option in the app's Settings screen, or by uninstalling the app.

5. Third-Party Services

VapeShift does not integrate any of the following:

• Advertising networks or ad SDKs
• Analytics services (Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.)
• Crash reporting services that send data to remote servers
• Social media SDKs
• Payment processors

The only external interaction is the optional Share feature, which uses your device's native share sheet to send an image to an app of your choosing. VapeShift does not receive or store any data from this action.

6. Notifications

VapeShift can send local notifications (daily reminders and milestone alerts) if you grant notification permission. These notifications are scheduled entirely on your device. No notification content or delivery data is sent to any server.

You can disable notifications at any time in the app's Settings screen or in your device's system settings.

7. Children's Privacy

VapeShift is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. Because VapeShift collects no data at all, no special handling for children's data is applicable.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be noted in the app's release notes. Continued use of VapeShift after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
